Dear Members of Heartsong Church in Cordova,
The Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church has profiled Heartsong Church’s collaboration with the Memphis Islamic Center in their article entitled:
“Heartsong Church in Cordova has ‘open doors’ for Muslim neighbors.”
Local and national news stories have shown the welcome sign on the front lawn of Heartsong Church:
“Heartsong Church welcomes the Islamic Cultural Center.”
In light of what is certainly confusion regarding the teachings in Islam about Jesus, we invite and appeal to you to view the

Since Heartsong Church is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, you ought to be aware of founder John Wesley’s published position on Islam:
JOHN WESLEY ON ISLAM:
“Ever since the religion of Islam appeared in the world, the espousers of it…have been as wolves and tigers to all other nations, rending and tearing all that fell into their merciless paws, and grinding them with their iron teeth; that numberless cities are raised from the foundation, and only their name remaining; that many countries, which were once as the garden of God, are now a desolate wilderness; and that so many once numerous and powerful nations are vanished from the earth! Such was, and is at this day, the rage, the fury, the revenge, of these destroyers of human kind.”

In the video, there is an explanation of the Jesus discussed in the Koran and Haddith Scriptures, the eschatology or the End Times difference between Islam and Christianity, and what Islamic Jesus says he will do when he returns to the earth. Is Islam a religion of peace? Is the biblical Jesus the same Jesus as depicted in Muslim Scriptures? Is the Islamic Jesus the Prince of Peace, or another masquerade of the Prince of Darkness? This film has been updated to include Rick Warren's promotion of Islam and awarding Tony Blair with his Global Peace Plan annual award. It includes John Wesley's published expose of the religion of Islam. James Sundquist's presentation was featured on Andy Andersen Live, WMCA Radio in New York, Prime Time Live, Moody Broadcasting Network, "Watchman on the Wall" national radio program, and recommended by Calvary Contender magazine and featuring in his book Rick Warren's Global Peace Plan vs. Scriptural Teachings on Peace, published by Southwest Radio Church.
QUESTIONS EVERY GOOD BEREAN SHOULD ASK TO TEST THE SPIRITS TO SEE IF THEY BE OF GOD:
1. Did you ever witness to the leader or members of the Memphis Islamic Center with these Scriptures:
1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
&
Jhn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
2. Do you know that according to the Apostle John's own definition, Islam is a false religion and that Mohammad was a false teacher and an antichrist:
1Jo 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
3. If Islam is a false religion, have you obeyed Scripture and been a good watchman on the wall to warn your congregation?
4. What Scripture...Old or New Testament authorizes you to bring false gods or their rituals into the Sanctuary or Temple?
5. Are you aware of the Scripture warning of the Apostle John (and he was not being hateful):
" Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed [NIV renders it "he who WELCOMES him"] is partaker of his evil deeds." 2 John 1:9-11
6. Are you aware of the Doctrine of Separation in these Scriptures (A Wesleyan Methodist Doctrine of Holiness):
"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." Galatians 1:6-11
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." 2 Cor. 6:14-17
"Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men]. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. " Proverbs 4:14-15
"Abstain from all appearance of evil" Thess. 5:2
"But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6
(If your children or unbelievers or young believers see an Islamic Service being conducted in your own church, are you not concerned that they will be influenced by them and become corrupted in the same way that the Children of Israel were led astray by the Golden Calf?)
The Bible is clear about forming unholy alliances. Here is the quote from the Memphis Islamic Center confirming the unholy Alliance with Heartsong Church:
"We believe this collaboration will reinforce our relationship with the larger Memphis community and allow for a better understanding Islam."
"It was very overwhelming and very pleasant to know that our neighbors welcomed us the moment we stepped into this neighborhood and they put a sign up to welcome Muslims into the area. And more than that they opened their doors to us during the month of Ramadan and we prayed together and now were celebrating together it's such a great feeling," said Bashar Shala.
Acceptance and tolerance of any other religion, forming unholy alliances, and praying with them is not what the Apostle Paul did or recommended in the Book of Galatians when he twice condemned them and said let them be eternally damned. It would not be “more neighborly” for Elijah to pray with the prophets of Baal! Jude and Peter employed the soberest language when they warned Christians that false teachers would be sitting at your very feasts. Christians are commanded not to enable, participate or open the door to legions of demons in the name of Jesus by inviting in strange fire, in order to be a good neighbor.
So did anyone witness John 3:16-17 at Heartsong Church/Memphis Islamic Center Thanksgiving Dinner held at Heartsong Church in November 2010? Was any Muslim there saved from darkness to light by being told to repent and believe the Gospel? If so, where is that testimony? Did any of these Methodists tell any Muslim what the founder of the Methodist Church, John Wesley said about Islam? Was anyone a good watchman on the wall at this church or derelict in his or her Biblical duty? Did any Muslim at this Thanksgiving Dinner tell any of the Christians or the news media that gathered what the ultimate goal of Islam is and what their Islamic eschatology (Last Days Prophecy) plans are for a different Jesus (Isa) when he returns to the earth? If not, here is what is written in their own authoritative Haddiths:
“Allah’s Messenger said: ‘By Him (Allah) in Whose Hand my soul is, surely the son of Mary [Isa (Jesus)] will shortly descend amongst you people (Muslims), and will judge mankind justly by the Law of the Quran (as a just ruler) and will break the Cross and kill pigs and abolish the Jizyah [a tax]’ ...." (Bukhari 3:2222)
Did any of these Muslims at Thanksgiving Dinner tell any of you that their founder Mohammad says in the Koran that you as a Christian are cursed and deluded because you believe that the Messiah Jesus is the Son of God?
"Next, Muhammad in the following verse curses Christians who say that the Messiah (no better than a prophet in Islam) is the Son of God:
Koran Sura 9:30 ... "[A]nd the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. . . . Allah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth! (Hilali and Khan)" SOURCE: http://answering-islam.org/Authors/Arlandson/ultimate_goal.htm
Finally, has the Memphis Islamic Center invited you to conduct Heartsong Church services when their building is completed, where you would preach Christ Crucified and that there is no other name given among men whereby a person can be saved, and only the Blood of Jesus will cleanse them from all unrighteousness?
Likewise, would any church ever be invited to conduct services in a mosque in an Islamic country?
I would also like to thank Chris Eaves, Small Groups Leader at Heartsong Church, who was very kind in responding to my emails without retaliating or calling them "hateful" because if I were hateful, I would simply remain silent and hope they perish. If my citing Scripture is hateful, then the Apostles Paul, Jude and John were hateful, for I simply used the exact Scriptures they wrote. John Wesley certainly was not hateful. Upon Google search, I could not find a single Wesleyan or Methodist Church or leading bishop or pastor who cited the same quote of John Wesley in order to be good watchmen on the wall and warn their congregations and sound the Alarm on His Holy Hill. I hope you will.
So my response to your pastor's email retaliating against me with ad hominem attacks is simply what the Apostle Paul said:
"I am now therefore the enemy because I tell you the truth?"
I pray that you will sound this alarm at Heartsong Church, to the United Methodist Church at large, and throughout Memphis!
